How SnowMirror Works?
SnowMirror server is running as an agent service in your environment. According to configured replication jobs it downloads data changes from a ServiceNow instance and updates a mirror database. No ServiceNow changes are needed, the mirror uses out-of-the-box API available in every instance.
All you need is a server with the agent installed and a mirror database (e.g. Oracle, MySQL, etc.). This database can be used for custom reporting, data warehouse load, system integration, backup and more.
Offload Reporting and Business Intelligence
Create custom reports locally on all sorts of existing reporting platforms and BI tools by connecting to a traditional, local database (e.g., Oracle, MySQL) that contains replicated data from a ServiceNow instance. Select tables and columns and schedule regular data replication to refresh data as needed with full or incremental update.
Leverage the mirror database to connect read-only integrations, thereby eliminating point-to-point real-time interfaces that rely on an Internet connection. Integrate applications with a database in a local network and improve the integration architecture.
